The Friends Cleanup - Joining International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day - global initiative led by the Ocean Conservancy
Exciting news! The Friends are hosting a shoreline/parkland cleanup on September 17 at Oleta River State Park as part of the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup Day. STARBUCKS will be providing their delicious COFFEE FREE to our early-rising volunteers. Local area cleanups are being overseen by VolunteerCleanup.org Please register to participate on Sept. 17th with the Friends (at Oleta RS Park, Osprey pavilion) here: OC Internat'l Coastal Cleanup 2016 OLETA Feel free to contact us directly for larger school groups or if you have any questions: oletaspfriends@gmail.com We will begin signing in volunteers at @8:30 AM. Please meet the Friends at the Osprey pavilion (east of Parking lot 6)... Please bring a REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE for cold water refills. NO SINGLE USE PLASTIC bottles allowed at this litter-free event. COMMUNITY SERVICE credits available to students volunteering.
