Join us - Young Friends + Friends of Oleta Cleanup & Recycling Pilot Kickoff! Part II...and now the official kickoff of RECYCLING at Oleta - along with a cleanup. The Young Friends of Oleta, led by project leader Eduardo Chocron, will span out in the park to collect litter + recyclables. There also will be scavenger hunt items to search for + we encourage everyone to spread the word to about RECYCLING to park visitors during the cleanup! We will meet up in the Butterfly Garden ( W of parking lot #6) - Community Service hours given, cold water + snacks...plus some contests! Please bring a REFILLABLE/USABLE WATER BOTTLE and/or CUP for cold water refills (to limit single-use litter that day). We will have sunscreen, bug spray and gloves onsite too. COMMUNITY SERVICE credits available to students volunteering. Kids under 15 MUST be supervised by an adult unless prearranged /confirmed with the Friends directly - feel free to call or email us.
